After 20+ years on staff at a local church leading compassion services locally and globally, in August of 2023 Brian joined Mansfield Mission Center as the executive director. MMC works with a network of volunteer organizations, corporations, and churches to serve the greater Mansfield area providing care of families in need. Through medical care, food subsidy, and wrap around services, MMC empowers people with essential resources and fosters their independence. Brian continues to serve on several global boards fighting poverty around the world and envisions Mansfield to be a community that cares for its neighbors. Brian and his wife, Sheryl have lived in the Mansfield area for 24 years and have two adult children, one amazing grandson, and a Golden Retriever named Jax. |

Mansfield Cares was established in 1999 by a group of people who were interested in helping those in need here in Mansfield. Mansfield Cares works closely with Mansfield ISD and Common Ground Network (organization that is comprised of local churches and service organizations that help those in need in Mansfield). Mansfield Cares supports many programs. Some of the programs are: Back to School Bash shoe donations Helping Hands Program Grocery cards from Kroger (Angel Tree) MISD Scholarships Feed the Kids for Summer Program Food Pantries
In addition, Mansfield Cares, in 2009, built and ran a free medical/dental and ophthalmological clinic on Broad Street. In 2019, Mansfield cares gifted the medical building and surrounding land to the Mansfield Mission Center. Mansfield Cares also constructed a building for use by the Mansfield food bank, Harvesting In Mansfield. Mansfield cares operates through donations and three fundraisers a year—the annual Gala (February), Casino Event (August) and Wine Tasting Event (November). To date, Mansfield Cares has raised and donated over $3,000,000 to the Mansfield community. |

Brian SanFilippo North Texas Tollway Authority
Brian SanFilippo joined the North Texas Tollway Authority in 2019. In his current role, SanFilippo is responsible for keeping Metroplex residents informed about current and future projects and work across over 1,000 lane miles of the NTTA system. He also supports the Public Affairs department in many of its communications efforts, including media and public relations, video production, and speaking engagements.
Prior to joining NTTA, SanFilippo spent 11 years in the media relations department for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. He began his career with the Frisco RoughRiders.
The Cleveland area native graduated from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.
SanFilippo resides in Flower Mound with his wife, Madison. He has served on the Executive Board for the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Wrestling Officials Association for the last eight years. |

Reverend Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr. was elected Mayor of the City of Mansfield, Texas, in December 2020. He is the proud pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield where he has served for more than 30 years. Mayor Evans received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Pre-Law) from the University of Texas at Arlington. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University’s Brite Divinity School. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Baylor University, where he has also served as a member of the board of regents for the university. Mayor Evans was elected to the Mansfield Independent School District Board of Trustees for three terms, serving from 2007 to 2016 including two years as board president. He also served as an administrator with the Tarrant County College District, with coordination and oversight responsibilities for the district’s ESL and Adult Basic Education Centers. He was a member of the TCC Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2020. He serves as a consultant on race relations for church, county, and state officials and is a passionate Mansfield community advocate. As part of this advocacy, he is has founded several organizations that work for the betterment of individuals and the community: • BBC Educational Enrichment Corporation, which has helped more than 1,000 young people throughout the southeast Arlington-Mansfield-Kennedale area with tutoring services, career exploration and summer job placement. • Hope House Community Service Network, assisting indigent individuals in southeast Tarrant County with addiction recovery, medical services and transportation. • Historic West Mansfield Texas Community Development Corporation, which encourages quality economic development of the Historic West Mansfield Community, instrumental in the construction of Bethlehem’s Pioneer Place Senior Adult Independent Living Complex which opened in 2019. Mayor Evans also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy from 1990-1998 as a reserve chaplain. He is director of the Life Touch Cottage Ministries Inc., a Christian education and evangelism organization serving children and youth in Nigeria–West Africa. He is the former director of African American Ministries for the Baptist General Convention of Texas, where he also served two consecutive terms as president of the convention serving more than 5,300 churches. He currently serves on the advisory council of Tarrant County Habitat for Humanity, the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Advisory Board and the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Advisory Board (Mansfield). Born the oldest of six children and a native of Houston, Mayor Evans has been married to Mrs. Lisa C. Evans, his high school sweetheart of more than 34 years. They have two adult children and a beautiful granddaughter. |

Join us in this Community event to spruce up the Mansfield Cemetery! Please register for this event so we can get an accurate headcount! We need to bring our own tools. Only tools you're comfortable using. Limb loppers, hand trimmers, weed wackers, rakes and brooms. The Mansfield Cemetery is located in the city limits, south on Main Street, right on F.M. 917 and right on Burl Ray Drive (Mapsco grid 124W). Cumberland Presbyterian is the oldest section of the cemetery and bears a Texas Historical Subject Marker. The land was deeded for the Cumberland Section by Ralph Man in 1876. Another section is the Bratton Family section dedicated for the descendants of the Bratton family. The T.E. Blessing section was dedicated by Mr. Ernie Blessing. He and his wife Hattie owned a furniture store and the funeral home. Hattie was one of the first licensed female embalmers in the state of Texas. Early settler were buried here and helped found the town by starting churches, schools, gristmills and civic organizations.
